Gluten-Free Cooking Expert: Carol Fenster

GFree has teamed up with gluten-free cooking expert, Carol Fenster, who has developed all of the recipes for GFree. Simple, yet interesteing recipes that allow gluten-free families to enjoy dinner and savor breads and baked goods once again.

What began nearly 20 years ago as a solution to Carol’s own gluten intolerance grew into a thriving position as a leading expert on gluten-free cooking. The author of 8 gluten-free cookbooks, she also develops gluten-free products for leading manufacturers and consults worldwide on issues related to gluten-free cooking. She recently authored Gluten-Free Quick and Easy and her latest book, 1,000 Gluten-Free Recipes, is available September 2008.

Carol is often a guest speaker at domestic and international forums and she has appeared in “Food for Life,” on the Health Network and “Creative Living” on PBS. She offers seminars for the American Dietetic Association, gluten-free associations, and cooking schools. Her books are endorsed and sold by leading organizations such as the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN), Gluten Intolerance Group, Celiac Disease Foundation, and local chapters of the Celiac Sprue Association.

She is the former Associate Food Editor of Living Without magazine. She holds a home economics degree from the University of Nebraska.  Her doctorate is in  Sociology from the University of Denver, where she was also a faculty member.
